Schnuffel What was that for a year for our Schnuffel! After the mega success of the first single, "Snuggle Song", the eight weeks at the top of the charts was followed with the second single "I have loved you" from the eponymous album, equal to the next chart success. In Germany the single "Kuschelsong" achieved Platinum status after more than 300,000 copies were sold.

Schnuffel is an animated cartoon rabbit made at the end of 2007 by the German media company Jamba! for the marketing of one of its ring tones. The ring tone was turned into a song by Sebastian Nussbaum and Andreas Wendorf and recorded under the title Kuschel Song ("cuddling song"). The single was released in February 2008 and the ring tone rabbit made it immediately to the top of the German and European charts. After the song went to the top of the Austrian charts and to number 2 in Switzerland, plans were made to release the song internationally. Translations in 10 languages and an album has been released.

Sony/BMG hopes that Schnuffel Bunny's "Snuggle Song", which has sat atop the German singles charts for the past six weeks, will enjoy similar success in the states. The label bought the US rights to the song, a post-Chipmunks ditty about a rabbit who wants to snuggle and cuddle.
