Alex C. – feat. Yass is a great dance act from Germany, Alex C has been around producing for a while and he was responsible for the great Rollergirl. There songs are really great because it’s a contribution of two, Yass has great vocals and Alex C has great mixing skills, together they made a great team and I definitely love there work. Euphoria is pact with very strong sexual connotations which makes there music that much better, they manage to make things like a nymphomaniac, having sex at the bar, and getting freaky with your doctor seem like a normal almost appealing thing. I have both the German Version and the Polish version which is more in English so I love the polish version better. I love how the translations are just that, translations, because I hate when an artist translates a song and changes the whole song, I recognize Alex C as the dj who uses chanting voices, most of these songs have the same guy chanting something in the background and you instantly fall in love with it, in a way its kind off a subliminal message that has no message it gets in your head and that is all you can think about.
1. Doktorspiele- this was the second song I heard from them, I heard it in German and I instantly fell in love with it, I love the chorus and the way the song starts out slow and picks up little by little until its at its high point and then brings you back down only to start back up again at the same speed, I love the techno drum beat and the trance sounds. This song is really enchanting.
2. Du bist so porno- this song has great vocals and a great techno beat, the loop for this is awesome.
3. Setz die segel! - heard this track when I bought Euphorie, fell in love with it, it was very catchy and love the euro-trance beat for this. I have definitely heard this song more than fifty times.
4. Du hast den schonsten arsch der welt- the song that I fell in love with, at first I fell in love with the German version and then I got my hands on the English version, both versions are amazing this is a great representation of euro-dance it has trance beats and drumbeat, the bongos are also a great part of this song’s beat break.
5. Euphoria- both versions are great, I love the English better because I could sing along to it, Yass vocals are great through out the album but this song is slow and the beat break picks it up with a trance beat and slows it back down, love the lyrics and love that this is the song that represents the album because it definitely talks about what this album is supposed to represent. At the end of this song there’s a repetitive loop of Yass singing Euphoria which is a great addition to the mix of the song.
6. Let’s go to the beach tonight- the German version surprised me when I heard her singing in Spanish, everyone that has heard this song instantly falls in love with it and the beat, I think it has more of a mainstream sway to it.
7. So geil so- very different beat and rhythm this song starts the progression of this album from a euro-dance feel to a more electric but still maintaining it euro-dance essence. This song is really bouncy and fun.
8. Sex at the bar- this is my favorite track, I love everything about it the beat, vocals, energy, and mix of it, it has a great rhythm and progression it goes from starting at a medium beat to a slower beat then picks up at its medium sequence to take you to the chorus which is followed by a faster trance beat mixed with the medium beat from the beginning, this song is really good and I love it.
9. Zuviel liebe killt mich- I don’t know what she is saying LOL, but the vocals are great and I definitely never skip this song, its very calming and relaxing.
10. Erdbeben- more electronic, this song is amazing it has a beat that keeps you moving in the beginning and takes you all through the song, there’s a cool beat in the beginning after the chorus that I love and then you don’t hear it again until the end which is great because at the end you hear that cool electric beat for the last minute or so, when I first heard the song I thought it would be like those songs that throw a beat out there to never bring it back, but then towards the end that’s all I heard, it left in a state of shock because I was so excited to hear it being looped and stretched all through the end.
11. Traumfanger- another great electric song with a more euro-dance feel and great funky beats, love the squeaks, well I call them that LOL, there a great mix for the song, this song has a great progression and great vocals.
12. She’s a nymphomaniac- love this song as well, its so graphic, when I heard it in German I knew what they were talking about just because nymphomaniac sounds the same in both languages, when I saw that this album had it in English I got excited not just for this song but for the others, I definitely play this all the time in both languages its amazing. The bass-trance beat is great and the rhythm is amazing.
13. Heute nacht- another slow great song with great vocals and a great progression, I never skip this either even though I don’t understand. Love Yasmine K’s voice it’s amazing.
14. You’ve got the sweetest ass in the world- added as a bonus track, its amazing just as amazing as the German version, I like that the German version of this album has this song as a bonus in Spanish and this version has it as a bonus in English. Any version of this song is great I love it and I love Alex C feat Yass.
I give this album a 10 for such and amazing work, this album is the best I’ve heard since Dj Encore feat. Engelina
