I just got this CD today. So I'm writing a review for it as I hear the full tracks for the first time! I wanted to try writing a review without hearing it many times!
The CD is a nonstop mix. It featuring some known artists and some unknown artists at the same time. Over all this CD is really good! I do recommend it!
I give this CD a 4/5!
1.Woddy Woodpecker // Peek-A-Boo (3:24)
The first of the song is pretty weird, but it clears out to some awesome synths. The singing from Peek-A-Boo is very awesome. Somewhat different than what you would hear from normal SAIFAM songs. The best thing I must say from this song are the synth chords & placements. The samples of Woddy Woodpecker gets a bit annoying, but it's not too bad!
5/5
2. Pippi "Rave" // Tam Tam (3:00)
A none vocal track. The sound of this track just reminds me of something that would be playing at a weird Tea Party. Latter in the track there is a weird placement of children's laughter. But, at the end does a great job of switching from that with a 1, 2, 3, 4!
4/5
3. Vacation // 3 Girlz (3:59)
At first I'm trying to hear which Vacation it is! Or a new song. But, real nice vocals in this song! It's a cover! I can tell by the chorus! By the way which they did beautifully!
4/5
4. Country Road // Thomas (4:48)
This song was a song I really wanted to hear for a full version. On the previews it sounded just awesome. The speed of the song is great. Though the start of the song was not as good. It is a really nice cover from country to Eurodance, I think.
5/5
5. Over The Blue // Urban Tokyo (3:48)
It kinda sounds like some older SAIFAM songs. There is one certain song that I think of when this song starts, but I can't think of it. More disco than the others before it. Also the sound of the synth. It just makes it sound quite older.
3/5
6. Polovetsian Dance (Prince Igor) // DJ Speedo Feat. Arenas Orchestra (3:35)
Some people may know the original song from the DDR games. It's kind of blan. Compared to the DDR version. No vocals.
2.5/5
7. Speedy Love // Speedogang (Speedy Love)
It has a big Jenny Romish sound to it. Mostly in the vocals. A bit into it does a Rave break with an MC saying the title! It's pretty cool. The lower MC parts really make the track I think.
4/5
8. New Cha Cha // Mark Farina (3:48)
The first Eurobeat sounding song on the CD so far. The chorus is really catchy! "CHA CHA CHA CHA I'm not your loser". At the end they mix it up by switching it to a female vocalist. Real unexpected!
3.5/5
9. Speed Japan // Wildside (4:00)
To me buying this song months before... It feels like it's a bit slower than normal. Though I think it might just be that every track on the CD is 160 BPM! OH! There is a repeat before going to the chorus. It's really out of place and kills the song a little. For the synths push into the chorus! Not a repeat... It does it through the track so. It's a bit annoying. They also do a skip later in the track. Skipping song slower lyrics. Though this skip felt a lot better than the other ones. 'Cause it went with the song well.
3.8/5 Between a 3.5 & 4.
10. Me Against The Music // Helen (4:00)
OH! Another song I already bought! I'm hoping it will be better than Speed Japan did. The song is an excellent cover of Britney Spears. Along with Speed Japan. They cut the slower part out. Though I prefer cutting the slower parts!
4.5/5
11. Love Theme From The Godfather // DJ Jaxx (3:23)
Real awesome cover so far! It's dark and uses synth bells. The switching of synth & style in which they are played really adds to the song. I was expecting some vocals, but the song is great without them.
4/5
12. Relax // Speedmaster (3:48)
I would have expected more from Speedmaster in a speed album! But, him having one song in it is good. I don't think this song is one of Speedmaster's best songs. The lyrics and way it's sung is really annoying to me...
2/5
13. Take On Me // Katty B. (4:12)
Another song I have already bought! I totally recommend this to anyone that likes Take On Me or speed/Eurodance stuff! Katty B's cover is just amazing! It's really interesting to listen to the sung by a female. In this version they do skip around and stuff, but they do a good job at it so it doesn't sound bad! It goes with the style I think.
5/5
14. Go Go Jam // Blue Roses (4:24)
OH... This is the only transition in the song that... Sucked. Maybe because it's going to a really Eurobeatish song and the last one was not Eurobeat at all... But, the song itself is very nice! It's a bit out of place for this CD. But, I guess it's a nice genre break! The vocal break in the middle of the song was really nice and not in the normal song. Then it continues from there to be different from the song. I think like the last mix style!
3.5/5
15. My Techno // The Vandals (4:52)
A very dark sounding song. Sort of like a Scooter style song. But... It's quite rock sounding. Reminds me a lot of KISS. But, as you think it's one style it switches to ravish. I'm confused with this song. Over all it's very raveish. VERY VERY MIXED!
3.8/5 Between 3.5 & 4!
