The infamous Top 10 Countdowns moves to Pop music for this one with who else for 2009 but Ms. Gaga herself?
Figured now that I've been a solid fan of hers for like six months now I might as well pay some homage to her with my Top 10 Countdown. Big thanks go out to CascadaXx and Cesar Supernova! for making me such a big fan of hers.
- If you only like 3, 5, 7, etc songs rank all of them.
- Peronal connections/love of each song is encouraged as always.
Haze's Top 10 Lady Gaga
Honorable Mentions - "Wunderland" , "Just Dance" , "Money Honey" and just about every other song she ever made not far behind.
10) Boys Boys Boys - Whoever you are, its really really hard not to find this song catchy. She really paints a bunch of pictures in this song, like always her lyrics are so real, and give most people some kind of personal memory because they relate to raw, no holds-bar, true life scenarios.
9) I Like it Rough - Best part of the song for sure is starting at "I'm in the bedroom, with tissues and when..." I thought this song was going to be about something else, knowing how shes is, and was pleasantly surprised to hear what it was truly about.
8) Beautiful, Dirty, Rich - Love the "Daddy I'm so s-s-sorry" parts. Love when the piano comes in. Love to sing the lyrics as "Bling Bling" as opposed to "Bang Bang" when I first heard the song thats what I thought it said and I felt it fit the song better.
7) The Fame - Fast chorus and differs from the rest of the song, I love change of pace. Rolls off the tongue, and kinda of an anthem song. I love the lyrics that start at "All we care about is pornographic..." ... "Hot blondes in hot positions" <3 <3 <3
6) Paper Gangsta - Piano addiction here draws you in. I lvoe that style of melody that not enough artists use the way she sings "Cuz I...do not...accept any less... then someone just..as real...as fabulous" I call it 'staggering' the lyrics, its really makes you emphasize the words, so cool.
5) Fashion - Why America's Next Top Model didn't use this song for its intro to the show is beyond me. Love the way she sounds when she is running off names of famous fashion designers.
4) Starstruck - The most 'hip hop' flavored Gaga song I like. Kinda cutesy chorus. The "I got a request" part is fun and later "run it back with original flavor", this is a great car cruising track.
3) SummerBoy - Wasn't sure to think of this song at first, because it really sounds kinda different when you first hear it, but then eventually it blends in to the Gaga style. The parts that start with "Lets get lost..." are hypnotizing. Love the part referring to what her sunglasses and the Martini glass do for her <3 <3
2) Poker Face - Although I liked "Just Dance" alot when it first came out, it was this song that had me hooked. The distant "ah-ah-ahs" are so perfect. Again lyrics that are fun to sing, my favorite part is when it starts "I will tell you that I love you..." Who doesn't love the "P-p-p-p-poker face" parts.
1) LoveGame - I knew nothing about this song until I wasn't directed to it and it took over me. It was a Top 10 all-time calibur song for me long before its video appeared on MTV. The lyrics are so raunchy its ridiculous, definitely one of the most sexually charged songs that I enjoy. I mean come on 'Disco Stick' combined with fact that it sounds like shes saying "Don't think too much just bust that D**k" its crazy (thats how I sing it anyways). Perfect slow-down section in the song. The chorus rolls off the tongue and is so fun to sing, and nothing about this song ever gets old for me.
