There's a few points you must keep in mind when writing a review. Not too many, but they're important nevertheless, so please check that you have done the following before writing an single review:
Quick Rules:
Things To Include:
That's all! Thanks everyone and happy reviewing!
Quick Rules:
- To write an single review you must have EVERY TRACK on the album in your collection, and have heard each one. "Just hearing" all the songs on the radio does not count - you must have each song in your collection so you can refer back to them while reviewing the album.
- Please write in a reasonably formal manner, and run your review through a spell-checker before you publish it. There's nothing worse than reading a review with heaps of spelling mistakes and grammar errors - that's not very trustworthy!
- Be polite, remember: the artist you are reviewing might actually read this. If you don't like a song on the album you need to be polite about it. Saying it 'sucked' (or something similar) won't do. A better thing would be to say it "simply wasn't as good as the other tracks" or "didn't live up to the standard of the other songs."
- In your single reviews you must review every track on the single.
Things To Include:
- A title - what use is a review without a title to tell the reader what it's about?
- A track listing - let the reader know what tracks are on the album and in what order.
- A photo of the album - this is not necessary but is a nice addition.
- A track-by-track review or 'description' is not necessary but is a nice addition. You must mention each song on the album in your review, however.
- An overall rating out of 10 should be included at the end of the review.
- If you can find a download link from the Share Music section this might be a nice addition too, but is not necessary. Make sure you copy the URL of the actual thread, not the download URL.
That's all! Thanks everyone and happy reviewing!
