I'm sure some of you guys out there have heard of K3. Unfortunately i couldnt find anything about them so thats why i opened this topic. For all of you who dont know them yet:
K3 is a Belgian girlband that started somewhere in the late 90's. Karen, Kristel and Kathleen scored a lot of big hits in Belgium and the Netherlands. Their music, which is mainly popular among kids, can be described as catchy, happy, sing a long songs. Most of the songs are sung in Dutch. K3 is after 10 years (!!) still HOT but like almost every girlband they had their bad luck as well....
Some months ago kathleen decided to quit which was a very sad day for most fans. Believe me, there were a lot of tears! K2 (Karen-red hair and Kristel-black hair) decided to search for a new member. A tv show called 'K2 zoekt K3' (k2 search k3) started in september 2009. Belgian and Dutch girls/women were asked to do audition. Thousands of crazy women wanted to become the new K, only 8 were selected by K2 to get an exclusive 'K3-education'.
The show is a big success on Belgian and Dutch tv and this saturday (3rd of October) the viewers and K2 will decide who will be the new K!
So, tomorrow we will have the big final with 3 girls; Josje (Dutch), Madelon (Dutch) and Noa (Belgian). It will be very exciting as K3 could become a little more Dutch, which will be appreciated by most Dutch fans.
MaMa Sé will be their new single and it's fantastic! I'm not a big K3 fan but this single is addictive and the video is amazing too with all the rainbow colours! It will go straight to number 1, thats for sure!
In this video you'll see the three blond finalists: Josje, Noa (with the 2 tails) and Madelon (with the braids)...only one of them will be in K3, but who...? Exciting!
