Since there's been so much chatter about Pigloo lately, I figured I'd slowly try to translate some of it. Since it's in French, I can figure out some of it, and the rest I trust the handy google translator.
Here's "Le Papa Pingouin "
{Refrain:} (Refrain)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin s'ennuie sur la banquise (The Dad penguin is bored with the ice flow)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin voudrait faire sa valise (The Dad penguin would like to pack his bags)
On le sent nerveux (He is nervous)
Un peu malheureux (A little unhappy)
Pas très bien dans ses plumes (Unwell in his feathers)
Pour se calmer les nerfs (To calm his nerves)
Il plonge dans la mer (He plunges into the sea)
Il envie l'oiseau (He envies the birds)
Qui sent va voir du côté de la lune (Who get to see the side of the moon)
Il a des pieds de plomb (He has feet of lead)
Ça le rend grognon . . (I couldn't figure this one out.. something about returning to "Grognon". )
{au Refrain} (With the Refrain)
Sur la neige bleue (On the blue snow)
Fait des pas douteux (With doubtful steps)
Et glisse sur la glace (and slips on the ice)
On l'entend murmurer (One expects it to murmur)
Je veux m'en aller (I want to go away)
Très haut dans le ciel (Very high in the sky)
Tout près du soleil (Very close to the sun)
En traversant l'espace (While crossing space)
J'ai les ailes d'un oiseau (I can have the wings of a bird)
Je peux voler haut . . (I can fly high)
Mais voyons Papa (But let's see Dad)
Pourquoi dis tu ça ? (Why do you say that?)
Tu sais bien que les ailes (You know well that the wings)
Celles des pingouin et des moulins (Those of the penguins and the mills*)
Ne servent plus à rien (Are not used anymore)
Mais Pourquoi Papa (But why Dad)
Aller là bas ? (To go low?)
Ici la vie est belle (Here life is beautiful)
Laisse le ciel aux anges et aux saints (Leave the sky to the angels and the saints)
Vient Papa ... (Come Dad...)
{au Refrain} (With the Refrain)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin poursuit son joli rêve (The Dad penguin pursues his pretty dream)
Voilà qu'il se prend (Here he is caught)
Pour un goéland (For a seagull)
Il fait de longs voyages (It goes on long journeys)
Il descend vers le sud (It goes down south)
Jusqu'en Angleterre (Until England)
Et voici Paris (And here's Paris)
Et même Napoli (And even Napoli)
Les rives de Carthage (The banks of the Carthage)
La méditerranée (The Mediterranean)
Que c'est beau l'été . (It is beautiful in the summer)
Mais voyons Papa (But let's see Dad)
Tu n'y pense pas ? (You do not think of it?)
Si tu pars tu n'iras pas loin (If you leave you will not go far)
Reste là Papa . . . . . . . (Remain here Dad)
{au Refrain} (With the Refrain)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Revient de ses chimères (Returns from his dreams)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Redescend sur la terre (Returns to the ground)
{Le pinguoin:} (The penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
Adore sa banquise (Loves his ice flow)
{Chœurs:} (Chorus)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)

{Le pinguoin + Chœurs:} (The penguin and chorus)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa pingouin (The Dad penguin)
Le Papa, Le Papa, Le Papa pingouin (The Dad, The Dad, The Dad penguin)
*I'm not entirely sure what is meant by this, but I found out that "mills" comes from a French term for communes. Which is like a group of people.
That's all for now, more later.
