In the begining of year 2001 began searching for 4 girls who would sing pop-songs in Swedish. The girls who were the best were just Elin, Martina, Marilinn and Alexandra and the first letters of their names gave the name of the group "E.M.M.A". In June 2001 their first single "En hemlighet" came out and became a success.
The girls later on released another single "Varje gång" and in fall their dabut self-titles album was released. The album included 12 popsongs in Swedish.
In the begining of 2002 girls released another single from their album "Bubblar i mej" and they were very busy with performing and recording songs for their second album. At the end of August 2002 first single from their second album "SMS" was released and the song "SMS" is their most successful single to date. It was on Swedish official single chart for 25 weeks and in October 2002 E.M.M.A. made a video for "SMS". At the end of October 2002 their second album "Vänner" was released with songs written by many wellknown names in Sweden like Ingela "Pling" Forsman and Bobby Ljunggren. Girls from E.M.M.A. were promoting the album in different TV shows and on signing tours. On February 2003 another single of their second album "(Vi ska alltid vara) vänner"
Same year girls recorded special Birthday song to Swedish cartoon character Bamse.
In 2004, the girls released new single "Precis som du är" and a brand new album "Tur & Retur" which again contained 12 popsongs in Swedish plus a bonus track their hit "SMS" in English. The girls were again busy with perforiming in different TV shows (Vi i femman, Bingolotto, Lattjo Lajban, Lilla Aktuellt,....)
On 26th of October 2005 the girls of E.M.M.A. decided to split up due to hectic schedule.
