Alrighty. I was thinking of organizing a Stepmania project that would feature bubblegum music that would be posted on the forums once it is finished. Problem is, i'm not exactly sure what songs I should create steps for. I want to make this a project that everyone will enjoy, not just a fad. If anyone knows how to make decent banners, or knows how to properly cut songs, then post it here.
I could use a graphic artist for the song banner and background, as I am currently struggling to use GIMP Portable. The song banner and background should include the song title, and the artist. It's always a nice addition to cut out the artists logo and place it on the banner and background. No stealing someone elses banner from another site! Dimensions should be 418 by 164 for the banners, 640 by 480 for the background.
If anyone can make a bubblegum theme for Stepmania, that is a huge plus, but that is really not required.
Someone to cut the songs to around 2:00, while at the same time making sure the song sounds smooth from start to finish. What would not want to be heard would be a remix of Barbie Girl cut off at the middle of a part where it is just the beat. How unpleasing.
The steps and syncing I can easily do myself, although help is always appreciated. Step artists are welcome. In the end, I will see how many reccomendations we have, although I would like to get around 70 songs in total, so that it is like an actual game.
All positions are open, and I will post who gets the desicions. To become a graphic artist though, please give me a personal message and send me a banner and a background for the song Typical Tropical by Bambee. A very tricky choice, I know. But if you can do that, then you can probably do this job.

I actually think they turned out fine. It was pretty crude. I used a winamp plugin to convert mp3s into wavs, then I used the default windows media player to just cut out parts of the song. Then converted them back into mp3s. I also googled and used some program to do the same thing. I can't remember the name, but it was just a demo so I just deleted it instead of re-getting it. Does anyone have a better way?
