Jim Reeves of the German Bubblegum Eurodance group Sqeezer has passed away at the age of 47. Jim is one of the founding members of Sqeezer, as well as its' founder, and he has remained a member since the release of the very first single "Scandy Randy" in 1995, which became Sqeezer's first hit. Since then, Sqeezer has released more hits, such as "Blue Jeans", "Sweet Kisses", "Saturday Night", "Tamagotchi" and "Without You". Despite various member changes, Jim always remained a member of Sqeezer since the very beginning. As of 2013, Sqeezer has been preparing a comeback with a new single called "Crazy Love", which was performed live at a 90s festival back in the fall of 2014. There has also been plans of releasing a third studio album called "Sqeezer Reloaded". Sadly, it's been revealed that Jim Reeves passed away, possibly on February 1st, 2016. At this time, the cause of death has not been determined and is still under investigation. Considering Jim Reeves is Sqeezer's founder, while it's not been confirmed, I'd imagine Sqeezer will probably officially disband following Jim Reeves's death, unless announced otherwise on their official sites. Bubblegum Dancer will update all of you if there is any announcements regarding Sqeezer made. At this time, I'd like to say thank you to Jim Reeves for all of the wonderful music over the years with Sqeezer. He is a wonderful man and will never be forgotten.

This is terrible. I hope that his murderer is brought to justice as swiftly as possible and that his family receives the emotional support they need.

Really sad news indeed, why on earth would someone take his life, if it was indeed a murder (which it definitely sounds like it is from the article Irk linked). Sqeezer had a really unique sound and some really good songs, my favourites were "Blue Jeans", "Tamagotchi", "Sweet Kisses" and "3 Times" Sqeezer and Jim will be forever immortalised in music <3

I believe Sqeezer Reloaded was planned years ago. I'm pretty sure they already gave up on that album. Apparently he'd posted about it as recently as the tail end of 2014 - it's harder to verify since he had a lot of posts hidden from people who weren't Facebook friends, but Tyler was, so he'd often report to me what was going on. Sure, it probably belonged in the same "Soon (TM)" category as a lot of other supposed Eurodance comebacks, but it probably wasn't actively given up on, and if it was it was in the past year. Part of me wonders if we'll ever somehow get what was done for the album, but let's be real here... and it's not what should be priority in this case anyway.

The only hope for Sqeezer's unreleased songs I can give is that "Squeezer Reloaded", which has since been renamed to "Sqeezer Reloaded" with the name reverting back from Squeezer to Sqeezer in 2013, was re-recorded starting in 2013 with new members Bella and Mikey. Samples of "Nice Evening" (a remake of their single "High Heels" from 2008) and a remake of "Anybody" (a Squeezer song released to a compilation around 2007) were posted with Jim, Bella and Mikey. "Crazy Love" was announced as the next single at this time, but was delayed when Bella left and was replaced by current Sqeezer singer Olivia in 2014. A sample of "Crazy Love" was also posted in 2014 and also has been performed live around that time, but in the post, it says Mikey is responsible for mixing it. In any case, if Mikey is responsible for it, there's still a small chance he could throw it up for free or maybe he and Olivia will try to get their label to put it out in memory of Jim Reeves. But like Irky said, that's really not the main priority here. As of this moment, Olivia and Mikey appear to still occupy Sqeezer, but, I still wonder if Sqeezer won't be dissolved soon.

www.bild.de/unterhaltung/leute/saenger/der-absturz-des-sqeezer-stars-44420126.bild.htmlI'd like to add this article to the discussion, which includes quotes from Jim Reeves's girlfriend Betti. It discusses that Jim has went bankrupt in recent years and that he's recently suffered from alcohol addiction and depression and has been battling his alcohol addiction due to health issues, I believe. I'd be willing to bet all of this is what's constantly delayed Sqeezer's releases over the years. Either way, Sqeezer was Jim's passion project, he never gave up on it.

This is so sad! I love their songs, especially "Tamagotchi." The fact that he was murdered is even more disturbing.
