I feel the urge to share a little dream I had last night! In the dream I heard the most beautiful Cascada-style track which blows EVERYTHING else out of the water. I literally woke up immediately after it ended. I did not get a sense that it was Cascada herself, but was within the ballpark. I couldn't remember the lyrics for the life of me, but had a pretty good sense the theme involved the show SURVIVOR, which was I think is rather interesting. I often see visual/movies accompanying the music in my dreams and the theme defintly had to do with "survive." I also felt the song had an inspirational aspect to it, perhaps singing about suriving a divorce or abusive relationship/break up. Somewhere along those lines. Even though I cannot remember the lyrics, I do know there were lyrics that were well-writen and original/not a cover.
Now the MUSIC! Talk about raising the bar on pop music!? The style was in fact (hands-up), but the chords blended in a really WEIRD way that created a whole new "advanced" sound, hard to describe. If I wanted to get all "spritual," i'd have to say this song came out from my heart. It sounded like true love in the form of music/sound. Imagine different synths/sounds combining to form a new sound that would resemble whole new instrument. This was nothing I've ever heard before! It had wonderful flow to it and was accompanied by harmonies that are frequently used in Cascada tracks, "Ready for Love," which comes to mind. This song did NOT, however, have a "rock music" element to it. It was supported by a trance element/sound rather than pop/rock. The bass drum was solid, but not so heavy that it covers up/drains the harmony.
This track had all the right elements: an exquisite melody backed up by heavenly harmonies, well-written, inspiring lyrics & technologically advanced production.
Now if I could only channel this creativity into my real-life lesson plans & teaching strategies!
