"The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!!" was a newly animated 22 minute episode of the show that was made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original airing of the first episode of "The Powerpuff Girls". I had read on a website that they FINALLY show Ms. Bellum's face! I own the complete series on DVD but didn't want to skip ahead because it was the last episode and I didn't want to spoil the ending of the series for myself. Creator Craig McCracken wrote and directed this new episode and said that it was his chance to finally end the series the right way since it never got a "final episode". The last episode they aired before this one was called "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey" and was an all singing episode. I had high hopes for it, but it sucked, really bad. THANK GOD the show's original creator came back ten years later and gave it a proper sendoff, the kind it deserved. Well I wanted to share with anyone who hasn't/never will watch this GREAT final episode, the picture of Ms. Bellum's face. Mind you, it only appears for ONE FRAME and is not very revealing, but it's all we'll ever have to go on. The creator Craig McCracken said that her character was based off of that hot assistant that all political and business orientated "big wigs" typically have. We never see her face out of irony. Even though she is GORGEOUS, all people do is look at her body and ignore her best feature, her mind, which is why they never show it. This explanation was given in the documentary from the creator himself.
Drum roll, please!
She looks a lot like Jessica Rabbit, no? How appropriate :-)
And this next picture just had me cracking up, it's from a funny scene where Buttercup explains her plan for ruling the world:
This is one of my favorite cartoons of all time and ALWAYS will be. It had it's ups and downs, but overall, this show is a quintessential example of what a cartoon should be.
