I set this to tape on Nick over the weekend (I was busy) and only just watched it. I wanna talk about it. We've had classic Nick discussions before, so I imagine there's fans around here.
This movie is really bad. I mean, BAD. The bulk of the humor is "lol Ed is retarded", the effects and props are hella cheesy (I know it's ten years old, but for a movie about food, it kinda kills the appetite), the plot is ridiculous... I mean, come on, a burger chain poisoning their competition's sauce and enhancing their own with illegal growth chemicals... what kind of a stupid plot? Why is this movie a cult classic?
My guess is because despite it sounding downright horrible coming out of someone's mouth, you still can't help but giggle through the whole movie. Any movie capable of sounding so horrible but being so funny ANYWAY deserves something.
So, anyone else watch it? Or at least remember it? I don't think it's coming on again anytime soon, and it's just dumb luck that I caught the commercial...
Dexter: "I'd hit you, but I don't think your brain would understand the concept of pain."
Ed: "Oh, hey, he could be on fries!"
Boss Dude: "OTIS is on fries."
Ed: "Well, yeah, but look at him! How long do you think he's got?!" (Otis is old. Really old. And awesome.)
Dexter: "I gotta come up with $1900 to fix some jerk's car, another $800 to fix my mother's car, and I just got fired. Man! I can't believe Kurt fired me from Mondo Burger... and he yelled at me... and he assaulted me... and he made fun of me..."
Ed: "Wow. You must really suck."
Ed: "Who's Kurt?"
Kurt: "I'm Kurt."
Ed: "I'm Ed."
Kurt: "I'm AWARE."
Ed: "I thought you were Kurt."
OK enough. *snerk* I'm done. Really.
