Biography:
Blå Øjne (Julie Ruggaard) has been known in Denmark now for about 2 years. The name "Blå Øjne" means translated into English "Blue Eyes". She has had big hits like "Romeo" and "Dig Og Mig" (which means "You and Me"). Her later released singles "Forelsket" (means: "Love") and "Smuk & Dejlig" sold less than the first 2 singles. But the album "Romeo & Julie" sold very very well.
Though there may have been rumours that Julie is lesbian, she's not. It consists of a gossip that came into existence because of the "Dig Og Mig" video, in which Julie appears as a lesbian woman.
The Collaboration between Sash! and Blå Øjne came into existence while the MIDEM Festivals in Cannes (France). Sash! wanted to use a Danish singer on his new album, before he even had been making the lyrics of it. Edel records recommended Blå Øjne very much, because she is very known in Denmark with from big hit "Romeo".
Then it became reality, Julie travelled to the studio in Düsseldorf (Germany) with her vocal producer, for the recordings of the song "Together Again".
During these recordings Julie heard Sash! continually say: "Noch ein Mal!". So she had to sing it over and over again, because she sang the English part with an unintelligible accent.
The song would be released in Denmark and (probably) also Spain while the rest of Europe enjoys "With My Own Eyes". Later X-It records announced that "Together Again" would be a bonus track on the "With My Own Eyes" single. But wasn't true, 'cause the "Rock The Block Maxi Version" was added to single, instead of "Together Again". Neither Denmark nor Spain did get "Together Again" as single, because Sash! decided at the last moment that Denmark had to get the same single as the rest of Europe: "With My Own Eyes".
Although it wasn't a single, it was very high charted in some Eastern European countries, because of lots of airplay on radio stations over there.
But the Sash! Best Of/Sash! Greatest Hits album did contain "Together Again", and that was probably because many many fans liked it so much.
Blå Øjne has just released her second album; "Tæt På". This album contains "Together Again" too as bonus track, it's number 14 in the tracklisting.
