Sea-Side is a brand new bubblegum dance artist that popped up from Germany (I think, though their Web site has a '.de' extension, so they might be from Denmark). They are planning on releasing their up-coming album in Russia and the Baltic States.
EDIT: They HAVE released their album in Russia and the Baltic States, as well as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The name of their debut album is "This 1’s 4 U"
Biography from their Official Web site:
SE-SIDE is one of the new generation pop-acts where talent and artistry is the most important and striking feature. The band’s unique charisma and presence is something the four members of SE-SIDE impressively use on record as well as on stage. Anna Taflin, Josefine Rosenberg, Johan Larsson and Rick Petrini use strong vocals in a mix with an energetic stage show.
In the beginning of 2005 SE-SIDE has met the song writer and producer Thorsten Brötzmann and the artist manager Andreas Mehlhorn in Hamburg and they invited the band to studio the same day.
An intensive cooperation developed and the song „This 1’s 4 U” has been released by Sony BMG on “BRAVO HITS 49” as well as on “Fetenkult Strandparty”. Hereupon SE-SIDE has toured through Germany and has performed at numerous festivals.
During their stay in Germany also the song “Drums of Africa” developed. Not only their record company Sony BMG thinks that this is a real hit but also Europe’s biggest fun park “Phantasialand” in Brühl near Cologne, Germany.
Thus “Drums of Africa” was chosen by Phantasialand to become the anthem for their new theme park “Deep in Africa” which will open in May 2006 with its spectacular roller coaster “Black Mamba”. Right in time for the opening SE-SIDE will start their attack of the German charts with a large TV campaign of RTL and RTL2.
But this isn’t enough! Together with the successful choreographer Mark Jong a Pin SE-SIDE develops the “Kamboleo”, an African summer dance which suits perfectly to the song “Drums of Africa”. And so we can expect that the African SE-SIDE virus will break out and the whole world will dance the “Kamboleo” just in time for the football world champion ship in Germany!
