OK, since I heard alot of references of Banaroo Preferral from that beFour Assault Thread I figured I'd see where everyone stood as a Banaroo fans by getting their Top 10s.
As always if you somehow don't like at least 10songs just list the ones you like in some kind of ranking order.
And of course Descriptions of songs, and reason for liking preferred and encouraged.
Hazey's Banaroo Top 10 Countdown:
10) "Bana Me Bana You" -- Like most of Banaroo songs, addictive chorus reeling you in followed by bubbly beats that kinda echo the theme.
9) "Hong Kong Song" -- Kinda the style of song Cherona was after when they were influenced by Banaroo IMO. This is one of the more upbeat songs from them, and love it.
8) "Uh Mamma" -- At first I wasn't drawn in by the 'Uh Mammas" but eventually started to find it addictive along with loving the storyline of the song.
7) "Heya Comanchero" -- The only song I've found in BGD that has a Native American theme, so the theme of this song really does it for me as that subject has always fascinated me, who couldn't love the "Heyas"
6) "Miss Your Kiss" -- One of the first songs I heard from Banaroo. The "I'll Get Back to You" is my favorite part of the chorus. I mean spectacular chorus, if musicianas would watch the way Banaroo draws you in with their choruses they'd be all set.
5) "Summer in the Sun" -- A recent attraction for me as I was tying in all the loose ends of my Banaroo collection this song emerged as one I couldn't keep myself from playing. I mean who doesn't love when BGD songs focus on this subject? Always makes me smile.
4) "Is it Love" -- Amazing. In a word. I mean that piano/keyboard melody that plays throughout is spine-chilling. The echoey "Is it Love" fits in perfectly with it, whoever wrote it that way is genius.
3) "How Deep is Your Love" -- I mean very similar song to the last one in its style, and if they made all songs that sounded this way, it'd be perfectly fine with me. These songs are the closest to beFour for their sound of my Top 10, so you can see why they are so high. I mean to narrow it down just the way they 'stagger' the chorus in the way its sung the first time is the chorus "How...Deep..Is.Your Love?" I don't how to explain it is, it's like they are really showing the qurestion be asking to someone like "I am being serious here"
2) "Call Me, Beep Me" -- They could not have picked a better TV show theme song to cover. When I used to watch the show I used to not want people to know how much I liked the theme song back then but when I was alone I'd sing along. Now that everyone what I listen to, this song fits in with everything else, and took a great song and made it perfect.
1) "Space Cowboy" -- similar to "SMS" by beFour in that to me this isn't just the #1 Banaroo song but also a Top 10 song all-time genre-aside for me. The first part of the chorus is great, but then gets somehow better by picking up the pace tremendously and throwing it all back you again kind of, and then the "Da-Doobys", OMG makes me fall apart everytime
