I love SAIFAM. Really, I do. I've known about them for a very long time, for almost as long as I've been listening to Eurodance, and they've made some of my absolute favorite songs in bubblegum and Eurobeat. They've had their dud tracks, especially nowadays with their constant pumping out of top hits covers instead of original songs - really, when was the last time they released an original song outside of Eurobeat, and that's just assuming their Eurobeat releases aren't old unreleased things they finally dug out of the basement? But I'll always remember the SAIFAM of the 90's and 2000's with an immense fondness.
That said, I'm pretty sure that whoever handles their releases is on crack.
Mitch and I already had a discussion about their cover of "Barbie Girl" today - they released that one as both Barbie Young and Savannah, and I have no idea which one came first. Whichever was first, they're both available on Amazon, and they're both the same song - not two different covers of the same song, not different remixes, but the same exact track. Observe:
www.amazon.com/Barbie-Girl/dp/B00ARP2BSC - Barbie Young
www.amazon.com/Barbie-Girl-Radio-edit/dp/B001YIKTF8 - Savannah
The length difference is just because the first album is a megamix; other than that, they're the same song. Confusing, right? It gets worse.
Today I had my entire library on shuffle, and a track from Dancemania X2, "Barbie Girl" by Ellis Anne, came up. And I found it rather familiar...

IT'S THE SAME DARNED SONG. AAAAGH
I've found myself ranting about SAIFAM a lot recently - love them dearly, but god they're weird with their releases. And now you guys get to share in my confusion! Hooray!
